EE33 High Frequency Transformer is the power transformer whose working frequency exceeds the medium frequency (10 kHz). It is mainly used in switching power supply, inverter and solar system. According to the working frequency, it can be divided into several grades: 10khz-50khz, 50khz-100khz, 100kHz ~ 500kHz, 500kHz ~ 1MHz, 10MHz or above.

 

The characteristics:

(1) Isolated 

A typical isolated transformer has a number of parallel windings. Every secondary winding is coupled to the corresponding primary winding. Therefore, the current of ampere-turns generated by the secondary winding are equal to the related primary winding (ignoring the excitation current). This characteristic is useful for parallel rectifier circuits particularly. The current distribution is equality for each winding; n parallel rectifier circuit, it needn't resistance or other components.


(2) High current density

 It have excellent characteristics on temperature rise for 10 kHz -1 MHz transformers. Because of this, it can achieve high current density in very small size.


(3) Efficiency

By adjusting the leakage inductance so that it can have a very fast switching time and low cross los. It can achieve a high efficiency. The transmission loss between the secondary side winding and the primary side winding is very small.


(4) High power density

Because of the small size of the circuit transformer element, it has excellent temperature dissipation characteristics, so it can be closely packaged with the related semiconductor devices and inductors to achieve high power density. It has a current density of up to 30A/ module.

(6) Save the cost of components which connected to it

Because of small leakage inductance and low switching loss, the stress applied to the connected components will be reduced. Therefore, the components could be lower cost and lower power quota which connected to our PCB transformer.
